Default Are Shiro Blades Worth the DM Req?

15 DM seems like a lot to me. I was wondering if it was worth it. I cant remember the name of the daggers but it has 9 requirement and it has the stats. Although one would probably do a hell of a lot more damage with 15 DM

assasin=hit to kill
hit to kill=high dmg
high dmg=15/16 in to the weapon atribute points
shiro's blades/vampiric=you do a lot of dmg

Remember that assasin is a dmg dealer ond must hit and run so don't be a hero
and do not tank or agro or stay on one place for to long and try not to destroy the name of assasins (or what ever is left of it) by that.

Hum... Assassin do high damage because of the weapon or because of the ignoring armor skills??? I read here that flurry was good for assassin because of that...

So what build would work well with these daggers? I was thinking of using only Sin skills, DM, Crit Strikes and Deadly Arts

Sins usually carry around 12-14 dagger which make shiro's weapon useless.

They're not worth it, because you can get 9 req greenies too.

You can make your own set of vampiric daggers for cheaper than an amulet of the mists. I have a pair of hooked daggers, 3/1 vampiric, req8, +14%^50% health damage, +25 fort mod. Works just fine.

Chkkr's Pincers
Although most of the time you'll want to use vampiric daggers you'll also end up using 15-16 Dagger mastery.

The damage bonus from having a higher weapon mastery is independent of the weapon's requirement.

- At 15 or 16 Dagger Mastery, req. 8 daggers will do the same damage as req. 15 daggers.

- Between 8 and 14 Dagger Mastery, req. 8 daggers will do alot more damage than req. 15 daggers (which will do minor damage due to not meeting the requirement).

- Req. 15 (or 8) daggers with 15 Dagger Mastery will do alot more damage than req. 8 daggers with 8 Dagger Mastery.

Phoebe, your statements are correct, but I had to reread them, before I noticed you were correct. They're a bit...akward and confusing ^^

You should be running atleast 15 DM regardless so I don't see a problem I just perfer zealous so I can run lower crit and invest in a third atribute.

I think for most people that run an AoD'er in GvG they run 14 DM, 13Crit , 9 shadow arts.

I think its a subtle message from the developers stating that high req. weapons are just as good as low req.

A while back there was scepticism that low req. weapons increased the liklihood of landing a critical hit which was disproved although people still yearn for low req. weapons. If you like the skin and you have 15/16 dagger mastery, then go for it.

People like low reqs, because you can do more with them. They don't do more damage.

What exactly does it matter? If you have 15/16 Dagger Mastery and don't want to use any other daggers... then use Shiro's. If you have 15/16 Dagger Mastery and feel like using the Ceromonial Daggers or Darkroots Daggers because they're zealous... then use them. For all i care the latter 2 i mentioned could be req15, that wouldn't stop me running them if i met the req. Which i tend to do because Deadly Arts is a waste of attributes and skillslots and Shadow Arts is pretty damn crap too (ie. shadow refuge sucks).

Unless your gonna be soloing things like in GvG where you wouldn't wanna go without a self heal i don't see the point, its too poor for me to care, as far as i'm concerned its a method of satisfying 'requires an enchantment' on GPS if AoD is likely to be shattered.
